Apple has just released iOS 18.1 and macOS 15.1 with Apple Intelligence tools, but currently only supports English.

Apple has pledged to add more languages by 2025, and the company has just officially confirmed a specific date for this.

Currently, Apple Intelligence only works with US English. With iOS 18.2, which is currently in beta, this feature will be expanded to other English versions such as Australian, Canadian, Irish, New Zealand, etc. Apple said this update is expected to be released in December this year.

By April 2025, Apple Intelligence will support languages such as Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese, and many more. Support for these languages will be available as a free update (expected via iOS 18.4).

With the recent release of iOS 18.1 and macOS 15.1, users can now take advantage of Write tools for editing and proofing text, as well as Briefing and Notifications. The update also adds a Cleanup feature to the Photos app.

Meanwhile, iOS 18.2 and macOS 15.2 are expected to bring many new features to Apple Intelligence, including Image Playgrounds, Genmoji, and ChatGPT integration.

Notably, Apple Intelligence requires an iPhone 15 Pro or later, or Mac and iPad devices with an M1 chip or later. The new iPad mini with an A17 Pro chip will also be compatible with these AI features.
