Apple has planned to announce a smart home center device in March this year, but the project is now indefinitely delayed due to its dependence on personalized Siri features.
According to leaked sources, the device could be moved to the first half of 2026.
Another reason for the delay is that it needs a new version of the Intents App - a technology that allows Siri to control the app more accurately by voice. However, this feature is also facing difficulties, causing the entire project to have to wait.
Apple's smart home center device is rumored to have a 6- to 7-inch screen, integrated with the A18 chip to support Apple Intelligence.
The product can be mounted on a loudspeaker or wall hanger, serving the control of smart home devices, FaceTime and many other functions. Apple even considers integrating a smart camera to make the device part of a family security system.
In March, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicted that the device would be mass-produced from the third quarter of 2025. However, when personalized Siri has not yet been launched, this timeline is being questioned.
