Christmas is just around the corner and modern technology can help make the holiday even more special. For example, an app called “Better Call Santa” allows parents to arrange calls with Santa Claus for their children, made entirely by artificial intelligence (AI).
Better Call Santa uses ChatGPT's enhanced voice mode to create a natural conversation with Santa. And it does more than that. Kids can tell Santa their wish list during the call. The AI then generates a gift list in the app so parents can see what their kids want for Christmas.
“Bring your family’s Christmas spirit to life with the Better Call Santa app. This magical app lets you create a unique holiday memory with a personal call from Santa himself. Kids can share their holiday wishes and parents can view their child’s wish list with peace of mind. All through one easy-to-use app,” the app description reads.
OpenAI also added Santa's voice to the ChatGPT app earlier this week.
Better Call Santa is available for download on the App Store. The app requires an in-app purchase of $5.99 to use. Notably, although the app is designed to work in English, users can still request Santa to speak in other languages.
