Chenoa Brookins - a woman who got married in her 30s and gave birth to her second child at the age of 41 - recently sent a message to young women: "There's no need to rush, it's going to take us a while to find the right path, from work to a suitable partner."
Sharing with Newsweek, the 45-year-old woman (Generation X) said that she once thought she would get married and have a family when she was young. But in reality, it was not until the age of 29 that Chenoa Brookins realized that their life was different from what they imagined.
"I realized that everything was not in my plan. That disappointed me, when all my friends were married and had children, I was still single. But then things started to go in the right direction," Chenoa said.
At 31, Chenoa Brookins felt the world opened up when she met her man. They dated and got married after 2 years of knowing each other. According to this woman, waiting helped her find the partner she wanted, not because of age problems but because of choosing the wrong person.
After getting married, Brookins became a mother at the age of 36 and welcomed her second child at the age of 41. That was not her original plan, but she did not regret getting married and having children late.
With her experience, the 10th generation mother has learned lessons and shared experiences with young women. Brookins believes that life doesn't always go as planned, we need time for everything to go in the right direction.
"There is no right or wrong, there is only one way and it depends on how you perceive it. We will change and have many opportunities to develop. You can get married, have children late or choose to stay single. Everyone's path is different," Brookins affirmed.
In addition to marriage, the woman with two children also advised that women should spend time exploring the world and traveling to many new lands. During his 20 years as an adult, Brookins has traveled to many places and experienced many jobs, from being a pharmaceutical agency, a museum trainee, taking the entrance exam to law school to a hair model.
Currently, in addition to sharing knowledge about fashion and beauty, Brookins also actively sends messages to women. Her posts on Instagram attracted millions of views and hundreds of comments from social media users.
From his story, Brookins sent advice to girls who have not found a way. What Brookins says has inspired many people, especially new-generation women.
