On October 30, Tam Tri Nha Trang General Hospital was taking care of a newborn baby boy weighing about 3.1 kg and was discovered abandoned next to the hospital's trash can.
Previously, on the evening of October 28, Tam Tri Nha Trang General Hospital received a newborn baby boy abandoned next to a trash can in the yard connecting the two buildings of the hospital.
When found, the boy was still the umbilical cord, wrapped in several thin layers of towel, without documents or personal belongings.
Immediately afterwards, the team of doctors and nurses of the Obstetrics and Pediatrics Department quickly performed first aid, removed the navel, kept the baby warm, breastfeeded and closely monitored the health condition.
Thanks to timely care, the child's health is now stable.
The baby boy is currently being temporarily cared for by the hospital in the Obstetrics Department. A representative of Tam Tri Nha Trang General Hospital said that the unit has coordinated with the authorities to verify the information and search for the baby's relatives.
The hospital has also issued a notice, requesting the baby's parents or relatives to contact the hospital soon for support and complete related procedures.
