According to educational psychologist Bui Thi Hai Yen - Director of NHC Vietnam Psychotherapy Center, feeling bored with love is common in long-term relationships.
However, it is important to know how to identify early so as not to confuse a quiet period with a truly endless relationship.
Identify emotions honestly
Take time to listen to yourself - do you still feel happy and excited when thinking about him? Do you still want to spend time and nurture this relationship? Being honest will help you initially identify the condition you are experiencing.
Accept emotions
Experts affirm that feeling bored with love is not uncommon. It can be a result of work pressure, repetition in daily activities or lack of communication. Accepting instead of denying helps you have a more calm and alert attitude in handling.
Find out the cause
Need to dialogue with yourself frankly: what makes you feel uncomfortable or lose feelings for him?
Sometimes, the cause lies in oneself - stress, changes in preferences, and psychological instability. Then, let's talk openly to understand whether the fading emotions come from repetition, false expectations or simply lack of interaction.
Take action to rebuild
A relationship only truly "lives" when two people proactively maintain and renew it.
Couples should create new experiences together, change old habits carefully, regain connection through simple things such as sharing a cozy dinner, participating in common activities or simply spending quality time together.
Respect personal space
Even in a relationship, each person needs their own time to develop themselves, pursue their interests and maintain independence.
Patience and understanding
Changing emotions is a journey. Don't rush to conclude that you are no longer in love when you haven't spent enough time to understand yourself and your partner.
When both of them have a desire to improve, bored love is just a challenge - not the end.
