Discovering his wife cheating with a young man thanks to a pickleball court booking application
I never thought pickleball would break my family, said Mr. Nguyen Minh (Dong Da, Hanoi).
As a popular sport, pickleball helps many people relax and connect. But for Mr. Minh, it was the unit that exposed betrayal.
His wife has been playing pickleball for about 5 months now, often booking a court through an application on her phone.
I was happy that she was more active. Who would have thought that would be just a cover for Adultery, said Mr. Nguyen Minh.
Things started to get unusual when his wife often came home late, was uncomfortable and always held her phone by her.
Once, by chance borrowing a phone, he discovered that his wife often paired up with a man of an unknown name. He quietly set up the yard at the same time, went to the place to watch and died when he saw his wife cheerful and intimate with the other person.
After the conflict, his wife admitted that their relationship in the street lasted more than two months.
Sports cannot hide a broken marriage
Not only Minh, Ms. Linh Ngoc (Ba Dinh, Hanoi) also suspected her husband when he often went out to play sports with his former female colleague.
"He said it was just for practice, but the way he hid his phone, turned off the notification... made me unquestionable," Ms. Linh Ngoc said.
According to psychologist Mai Viet Duc - Nhan Hoa Viet Psychotherapy and Counseling Center, covering up an affair with sports and healthy activities is actually an effort to protect one's image in front of your partner and society.
"They often use the excuse of practicing health to maintain honor, but this makes the gap between husband and wife even larger, and the breakup slows down," the expert commented.
The expert also warned: "One side controlling, questioning, or attaching a tracking device does not help save marriage - it only makes the other side more defensive. On the contrary, couples need to spend time together in a healthy private space but in a safe space for trust''.
