The program "Dream Journey" is hosted by MC Quyen Linh, the connector is Nguyen Huynh Nhu, the two guests are actor Quach Ngoc Tuyen and actor Ngoc Trai.
The main character of episode 1 is Nguyen Thi Huyen Tran, born in 2013, a 6th grade student in Soc Trang. She grew up without the care of her mother when she left just 5 days after giving birth to her.
Since childhood, I have lived with my grandmother and father. However, a heartbreaking incident happened in August this year when my father chose to give up his life, leaving me with a debt note of more than 1 million VND.
Before that, my grandmother passed away from illness, my father had an accident, broke his leg, and could no longer do heavy work, making life for both of us more and more miserable. Currently, I am living alone in a house lacking everything.
Her daily meals depend on help from neighbors. Despite the attention from local authorities and the community, she is temporarily cared for, but the future is still a bleak picture.
In episode 1 of “Dream Journey”, the show gave three challenges to the guests to bring home gifts to support Huyen Tran.
In the first challenge, "Sell lottery tickets". After completing, I got to open one of three gift boxes. I received 5 million VND.
Coming to the second challenge was "Catching snails", a job familiar to people living in the river area but full of challenges for the two actors Quach Ngoc Tuyen and Ngoc Trai. This time, Huyen Tran opened a gift box containing 15 million VND.
The final challenge was "Pass the ball with a string". As a result, I was lucky enough to open a gift box with the highest multiplier of 5, turning the 20 million VND I had before into 100 million VND.
Afterwards, MC Quyen Linh also revealed that, because Huyen Tran's circumstances were particularly difficult, the program decided to give all three gift boxes in the final challenge the highest multiplier, which ensured that no matter which gift box she opened, she would receive the maximum amount of money.
Not stopping there, the program's partner also sponsored an additional 20 million VND, bringing the total amount Huyen Tran received to 120 million VND, not including the previous lottery ticket sales. This is not a small amount of money, so the program decided to send this amount to the local government to open a savings account, because Huyen Tran is still not capable of managing such a large amount of money on her own.
In the most touching moment of the show, after completing the second challenge, Huyen Tran shared her dream of adopting Nguyen Huynh Nhu as her mother. She immediately agreed without hesitation and happily shared that from now on she had another daughter. This moved Quyen Linh.
