At the program "You want to date", the audience witnessed a meeting between a barber from the West and a teacher.
The groom's family is Nguyen Cong Duc (born in 1991), from Dong Thap, currently working as a barber in Ho Chi Minh City. Appearing on stage with a rustic demeanor, Cong Duc made a good impression when sharing that he does not smoke, does not drink, does not drink coffee and loves sports.
He humorously calls his profession "catching the hair of the world", and admits that he has studied pedagogical subjects but "had no luck", so he turned to the hair profession.
Regarding personality, Cong Duc said that his advantage is living simply, not falling into bad habits. However, he also frankly admitted his shortcomings of being quiet, not being good at speaking to women, and sometimes being a bit lazy to clean up after work. Regarding love affairs, he has had three relationships, most of which were broken by geographical distance and not ready to stabilize.
The bride's family is Vu Thi Yen Ngoc (born in 1992), from Dong Nai, currently working in a system of primary and secondary schools. Yen Ngoc said that she is a disciplined person, knows how to cook, clean, likes to read books... Her weakness is that she is sometimes hot-tempered when under pressure from work, but is trying to adjust to balance her life.
Sharing about love, Yen Ngoc said that she had a relationship that lasted 4-5 years but ended because of religious differences and having someone else. Currently, she wants to find a man who is listening, limiting alcohol, respecting the law and being responsible for his family.
During the conversation, the two had many similarities in age, simple lifestyle and desire to build a family. Cong Duc even expressed that if he had met the right person, he could consider getting married early because his family had urged him and he himself was no longer young. Yen Ngoc also frankly shared that marriage should be based on mutual respect and understanding.
However, the knot of the date came from the fact that the groom admitted to playing cockfighting when he was young. Although Cong Duc confirmed that he had given up, when asked more deeply, he said that during Tet in his hometown, this activity still existed as a "happy pet". This makes Yen Ngoc wondering, because she works in a state environment and attaches great importance to compliance with the law as well as her personal image.
In the face-to-face meeting, the two gave gifts and chatted sincerely. Yen Ngoc gave Cong Duc a hometown specialty and a book, with the desire to preserve the anniversary of the filming. Cong Duc said that he felt that Yen Ngoc was a con industry person, talking reasonably, while Yen Ngoc commented that the boy was gentle but had little sharing of his inner thoughts.
At the decisive moment, Yen Ngoc refused to press the button, saying the reason was not really assured of the boy's unconclusive view on cockfighting. Cong Duc respected this choice and did not press the button, both of them shook hands and agreed to stop at the friendship level.
