On International Women's Day March 8th, guys, please prepare your own warm and romantic dinner for your loved one. Accordingly, spicy sauce chicken wings with corn cheese will be a perfect dish to change the taste for this special occasion.
The harmonious harmony between crispy fried chicken, rich sauce and shredded cheese combined with sweet corn will be a highlight for family meals. This dish also does not require too elaborate preparation and allows guys to easily show their cooking talent to treat their women.
To make spicy chicken wings with corn cheese, you need to prepare 500g of chicken wings (should choose the middle wing), 200g of shredded Mozzarella cheese and 100g of sweet corn (canned American corn or fresh kernel corn).
The sauce and accompanying spices include 2 tablespoons of Korean chili sauce (Gochujang), 1 tablespoon of chili powder, 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of honey and minced garlic, a little tapioca starch (or crispy frying powder).
After washing the chicken wings, pat them dry thoroughly with a paper towel so that they are not scalded when frying. Apply a thin layer of tapioca starch on the outside of the chicken wings to help the chicken skin after frying be crispy and better stick to the sauce.
Wash sweet corn, drain and when processing, heat a pan with enough oil, add chicken wings and fry at high heat until the skin is golden brown and evenly cooked, then you can take it out.
However, remember not to fry for too long to avoid the chicken being dry inside. Next, sauté minced garlic until fragrant in another pan, add Gochujang chili sauce mixture, chili powder, soy sauce and honey and bring to a simmering boil.
When the sauce starts to thicken, pour in the fried chicken wings and stir-fry evenly over low heat so that the sauce completely covers each piece of chicken. Then, prepare a cast iron pan or heat-resistant plate, arrange the spicy sauce chicken wings on one side. On the other side, spread sweet corn and coat with a layer of Mozzarella cheese on top.
Cook over low heat and cover the pan for about 3-5 minutes (or put in the microwave/baker) until the cheese is completely melted. This dish should be enjoyed while hot and can be served with garlic butter toast to add flavor.
