Coming to the program "Newlyweds", Dinh Son and Hoang Quyen bring a love story full of emotional levels, from a rational introduction to an event that seemed to prevent the wedding from happening.
Both were born in 1999, used to study in the same high school but did not know each other. After graduating, Dinh Son went to Japan to study and work for 6 years. At the beginning of 2023, when he returned to the country, he taught marketing, while Hoang Quyen actively contacted to learn knowledge to serve the cosmetics business.
According to Hoang Quyen's sharing, in the early days, the two only talked about work. She even wondered because Dinh Son always keeps distance from women, each call only lasts for a few dozen seconds and then ends.
On Dinh Son's side, he said that he once set a goal to get married at the age of 30. Therefore, despite many times being moved by Hoang Quyen, he still tried to put aside his love affair to focus on developing his career.
The turning point came during a trip with colleagues in Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. After many months of only seeing each other as work partners, Dinh Son began to pay more attention to Hoang Quyen, proactively taking care of her, carrying luggage and spending time with her.
But his confession made his girlfriend confused. After asking Hoang Quyen if she wanted to start a new relationship, returning to Vietnam, he suggested that the two "just treat each other like friends". Only when Hoang Quyen requested a clear confession of love did Dinh Son officially express his feelings.
At the proposal scene, the couple continued to have unforgettable memories. Dinh Son intended to buy a proposal ring but mistakenly thought it was a pair of wedding rings. The businessman said he had to sell the only gold ring he owned to buy the pair of rings because all his savings had been given to his girlfriend to manage. Initially, Hoang Quyen burst into tears of disappointment, but after knowing the truth, she was even more touched by her husband's kindness.
The biggest incident happened right before the wedding day. Hoang Quyen said that there were only two days left until the wedding ceremony took place when the two had an argument related to misunderstandings between the two families about wedding customs.
In anger, Dinh Son wanted to cancel the wedding and said: "Stop getting married", causing Hoang Quyen to be shocked and cry all night. "At that time, we had already registered our marriage. Hearing him say that, I was really hurt," she recalled.
After calming down, Dinh Son realized that he was affected by the opinions around him, while his parents on both sides did not have any conflicts as he thought. The businessman took the initiative to apologize to his wife and both decided to overcome the misunderstanding together to organize the wedding as planned.
Currently, the couple has their first child. Although there are still differences in married life, Hoang Quyen said she hopes her husband will control his emotions better, and Dinh Son hopes his wife will continue to accompany him in his work. Both believe that listening and understanding are the key to maintaining family happiness.
