On July 11, the People's Committee of Dong Hoi Ward (Quang Tri Province) announced that a pregnant Thai tourist had given birth and given birth locally. This female tourist was 8 months pregnant and gave birth prematurely during her trip to Vietnam to visit relatives.
Before that, Ms. Truong Thi Minh Duyen (born in 1965, residing in TDP 11, Dong Thuan Ward) was present at the headquarters of Dong Hoi Ward to complete the birth procedures for her nephew's child.
Her nephew is a Lao citizen, and his wife is Thai. During her trip back to Vietnam during the summer combined with travel, the mother suddenly became pregnant and gave birth at the Vietnam - Cuba Friendship Hospital in Dong Hoi.
Due to special circumstances, Ms. Duyen completed the birth registration procedure on behalf of her family. She said that on the first day of submitting the application but lacking documents, the staff wholeheartedly guided her to supplement the marriage certificate from Laos.
2 days later, when I had all the documents, it only took a few minutes to complete the procedure.
According to the reception department, in the early stages of implementing the two-level government model, Dong Hoi ward received a large number of people to handle administrative procedures.
The working area has arranged additional support and guidance staff, combined with Sequential numbers to reduce pressure and avoid congestion. This is one of the first wards in Quang Tri province to pilot the new government model.
