On July 1, Lao Dong Newspaper's reporter noted that in Nam Dinh ward (Ninh Binh province), the citizen reception department is operating seriously.
On the first day of work, many people came to do administrative procedures. To best serve the people, the ward arranges staff to be on duty at the entrance area, guiding people when they come to work.
With an excited spirit, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc (25 years old) and Mr. Tran Xuan Hoa (28 years old) went together to the ward headquarters to complete the marriage registration procedures.
"My wife and I chose the first day when the two-level government model came into operation to register our marriage because we wanted to take this special historical event as a special milestone in our lives and have the documents unified according to the new administrative address. We both worked at the same company in Nam Dinh City (old), so we got to know each other and decided to get married. Although it was the first day of operation, the procedures were very convenient, the staff here were very enthusiastic and gave specific instructions," Ms. Ngoc shared.
Also with her husband - a foreigner coming to Nam Dinh ward to register her marriage, Ms. Dang Mai Phuong (35 years old) said: "At first, I was a bit confused because I didn't know if the procedures were resolved in time from the first day of operation. However, when I arrived to make marriage registration documents at the one-stop department, I was enthusiastically guided by the staff, the procedures were quick."
Another couple, Mr. Nguyen Duc Cham (35 years old, residing in Nam Minh commune, Ninh Binh province) and Ms. Lo Thi Ha (22 years old, residing in Nghe An) also went to the Nam Minh Commune Public Administration Service Center to register their marriage on the first day the two-level government came into operation.
Ms. Ha confided: "My husband and I decided to get married right at the time of the provincial merger because we wanted the important milestone of our lives to become a memorable event, so my husband and I waited for today. With guidance, our procedures are quick and convenient".
Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong - specialist of the Nam Minh Commune Public Administration Service Center - said that on the first day of implementing the 2-level government model, Nam Minh Commune has resolved administrative procedures for couples to register their marriage. All procedures are carried out according to regulations, depending on the couple, there will be different times to return the registration documents and they will be updated to the software to integrate with citizens.
