For many people, the afternoon tea is not complete without snacks. Instead of eating high-calorie fried foods, try the nutritious, easy-to-make and delicious grilled ragi cookies below.
Why choose ragi as an ingredient?
Ragi (also known as finger foods) is a grain rich in fiber, calcium and protein. According to July Stefanski, nutritionist and lecturer at York College of Pennsylvania (USA): Ragi helps stabilize blood sugar, increase satiety and support weight control. This is an ideal choice for those who want to snack healthily without worrying about gaining weight".
Unlike traditional cookies that contain a lot of butter, this type of cake is baked and used olive oil, a source of heart-healthy fat.
How to make baked ragi garlic cookies

60 g ragi flour
70g whole wheat flour
10 g dried herbs (such as oregano, thyme...)
2.5 g baking powder
Salt and pepper to taste
5 ml of olive oil
Water to make a dough
Ingredients of the cake face (topping):
10 ml of olive oil
2.5 g chili powder
3 cloves minced garlic
A little salt
How to do:
Roast the ragi flour for fragrance. Mix ragi powder with whole wheat flour, baking powder, salt, pepper and herbs.
Add olive oil, mix well, then slowly add the water and steep the dough.
Let the flour rest for about 20 minutes. Then roll (about 1/8 inches), cut into small squares.
Use a light stake handle on the surface of the cake to avoid swelling when baking.
Bake at 180°C for about 810 minutes until golden brown.
Mix the topping with olive oil, paprika, minced garlic and salt. Branch over the cake while it is still hot.
Let it cool and then put it in a sealed container for gradual use.
