According to Korean media, this upcoming boy group marks Big Hit Music's first new group in about 6 years since TXT debuted in 2019, and is the company's 3rd group, including BTS.
The new boy band has 5 members Martin (born in 2008), James (2005), Juhoon (2008), Seonghyeon 2009 and Keonho (2009), expected to officially perform from August 18.
Big Hit Music has not revealed the group's name, but the group is introduced as a "young creative team", self-focused on songwriting, choreography and video recording, based on their new and unique artistic talent.
Instead of being tied to fixed positions like traditional Kpop groups, they will work together as " creatives".
Previously, the members also participated in composing music and choreography for HYBE Group artists. Martin was one of the composers of songs such as TXT's "Deja Vu", "Miracle" and "Beautiful Strangers," ENHYPEN's "Outside," LE SSERAFIM's "Pierrot," and ILLIT's "Magnetic."
James also contributed to the choreography for "Deja Vu", "Magnetic", "Cherish" and "Tick-Tack" (ILLIT), and produced the songs "Deja Vu", "Miracle" and "Magnetic" with Martin.
The fact that Big Hit Music's new group has members who are producers is a big advantage. BTS has become a K-pop group that has achieved global success by having talented members who not only perform excellently but also actively participate in composing group songs and solo songs.
