According to Koreaboo, recently, when appearing on MBC's Omniscient Interfering View, Korean actress Lee Se Hee clarified the rumors surrounding her origin.
Previously, there was information that Lee Se Hee belonged to the Hwasan Lee family (Ly Hoa Son) - a family in Korea with relations with the Vietnamese royal family.
The founder of the Hwasan Lee family was Ly Long Tuong - the 7th son of King Ly Anh Tong (ruled 1138-1175) under the Ly Dynasty (Dai Viet period). In 1226, after the Ly Dynasty collapsed, Ly Long Tuong went to Korea (then the Cao Ly Kingdom), was given the Hwasan Lee family name and settled here.
Lee Se Hee denied the rumors and corrected that she was a Jeonju Lee family member, not Hwasan Lee.
Regarding the reason for not speaking out early when the rumors spread, Lee Se Hee said that she felt it was unnecessary to explain her origin, because it was not a malicious rumor. On the other hand, the actress joked that she also enjoyed being labeled as "royal".
Lee Se Hee was born in 1991, before switching to acting, she studied dentistry and was granted a practice license.
In 2015, Lee Se Hee debuted in the entertainment industry through an MV by singer Na Yoon Kwon. After that, she played a supporting role in many movies and TV series such as Midnight Runners, Fengshui, Let Me Introduce Her, Different Dreams, Catch the Ghost, Live On, Hospital Playlist 2...

At the end of 2021, Lee Se Hee had her first leading role in the TV series Young Lady and Gentleman. The film was a resounding success with viewership ratings of up to 38.2% (according to Nielsen Korea).
The role of Dan Dan, a female tour guide who has a relationship with a man 14 years older than her, helped Lee Se Hee win Best New Actress and Best Couple (with Ji Hyun Woo) at the 2021 KBS Drama Awards.
After this film, Lee Se Hee continuously received leading roles, most recently the role of a successful single mother who becomes Lee Joo Ri in the film A Virtuous Business, which will air in 2024.
