According to Allkpop, on February 4, Big Bang's G-Dragon announced the release of the album through a teaser video posted on the official social networking platform for fans (@fanplusonedotcom).
The video opens with two mesmerizing silhouettes of G-Dragon walking through colorful, dreamy lights. As the silhouettes merge, they transform into the “U” logo for “Ubermensch” – a design previously seen in the intro to the “Power” music video – for a striking visual impact.
The sound of a pounding heartbeat and the cheers of an excited crowd only added to the anticipation. At the end of the video, the release date of the album “Ubermensch” was confirmed as February 25, 2025.

The album “Ubermensch” marks G-Dragon's return with a studio album after 11 years and 5 months, since the album “Coup d'Etat” in 2013.
After a long hiatus, fans and music industry insiders are looking forward to this comeback of the Big Bang leader.
The album title “Ubermensch” is derived from Friedrich Nietzsche's philosophy, referring to "Superman" or "Beyond-Man" - an individual who transcends his own limits.
G-Dragon has always been known as someone who is “born to be an artist”, will overcome boundaries and redefine himself, coming back stronger and more fierce than ever.
Previously, G-Dragon dominated domestic digital music charts with the single "Power" released in October 2024 and the song "Home Sweet Home" released in November 2024 in collaboration with Big Bang members Taeyang and Daesung.
“Home Sweet Home” held the No. 1 position on Melon and Genie monthly charts for 2 consecutive months, proving that the appeal of G-Dragon's music products in Korea has never cooled down.
At Taeyang's recent concert, Daesung revealed that G-Dragon will hold a solo concert in March this year.
Thus, after releasing the album on February 25, G-Dragon will bring new songs to the stage to meet fans.
The male singer has not revealed the number of songs in this album, but G-Dragon's previous two studio albums had 10-12 songs, so the audience is expecting G-Dragon to make a grand return with dozens of new hits.
