In episode 18 of "The Wind Across the Blue Sky", Hoang Lam (Quynh Kool) had to go to the hospital to get a miscarriage. Due to being busy with company work, Toan could not take his wife but had to rely on his mother-in-law and My Anh (Phuong Oanh). Seeing her daughter go through pain, Hoang Lam's mother sighed and blamed her son-in-law.
"You don't blame me, you have pity, but if you love someone, you can't just love them. Sometimes we have to stop to look at each other, like right now, she is in a lot of pain and really needs a handshake from her husband," Hoang Lam's mother said.
After leaving the room to do the procedures and not seeing Toan (To Dung), Lam turned around and walked away, feeling sorry. Meanwhile, Toan at the company was also scolded by his boss for not being thorough at work. When explaining the reason for the family, the boss Toan dismissed it and thought he was making excuses, which could seriously affect the company's reputation.
When she returned home, Lam could not help but get angry and blame Toan. "He told me that he didn't want his mother-in-law to interfere in family life, he wanted to take care of the family himself, but in the end, his wife still needed to come to his biological mother for help," Lam said in tears.
When his mother tried to stop him, Lam got even more angry and pushed Toan down: "Do you remember when I asked you, if your wife and work fell into the water together, who would you save?
