On June 23, law firm LKB & Partners - legal representative of Gold Medalist stated: Gold Medalist and actor Kim Soo Hyun filed additional complaints against Kim Se Ui and the family of the late actor Kim Sae Ron for slander.
As is known, at the press conference on the afternoon of May 7, 2025, Kim Se Ui released an audio recording that was said to be the voice of the late actor Kim Sae Ron, but was actually forged using AI technology.
During the press conference, he spread false information such as Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron have been in love since high school and have a recording file to prove this, or Kim Soo Hyuns side offered to pay 4 billion won to buy this recording, when they were refused, they sent 2 murderers to kill them to provide information.
Kim Soo Hyun's side also emphasized: "Kim Se Ui and Kim Sae Ron's family not only spread false information based on the forged recording, but also relied on it to counter-accus Kim Soo Hyun of violating the Law on Child Protection. This is clearly slander.
Forging evidence is a serious crime, but using fake evidence to make a criminal record is even more serious. Gold Medalist and Kim Soo Hyun quickly filed additional complaints against Kim Se Ui and Kim Sae Ron's family, to ensure those involved are held accountable and punished under the law.
Previously, Kim Sae Ron's family and YouTube channel Garosero (headed by Kim Se Ui) accused Kim Soo Hyun of dating Kim Soo Ron when she was a minor, and their relationship lasted 6 years from 2015 to 2021.
However, Kim Soo Hyun firmly denied it. The actor affirmed that the photo only dated Kim Sae Ron for about a year, when she was old enough to mature.
Kim Soo Hyun's side has filed a lawsuit against Kim Se Ui, Kim Sae Ron's family, and the person who claimed to be Kim Sae Ron's aunt for defamation, and requested compensation of 12 billion won.
After that, Kim Soo Hyun's management company continued to supplement the lawsuit against Kim Se Ui for harassment and monitoring. Recently, Kim Se Ui's assets, which are 2 apartments, have been frozen with a total compensation request of 4 billion won.
