At the Program introducing typical artists and some outstanding books in the field of Performing Arts and Literature in 2024, actress Ngoc Xuan is a young face attending.
In the film industry, Ngoc Xuan was honored in the Outstanding Film Actress category for her role as Mien in "Once Upon a Time There Was a Love Story".
She and HIEUTHUHAI are the two youngest people to be honored in the film/entertainment field. Both were born in 1999.
Sharing with Lao Dong reporter, Ngoc Xuan said she was happy, grateful and felt lucky to be honored as an outstanding film actress in 2024.
"For a young actor like me, being known by the audience right from my first role and being honored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is extremely lucky. I always want to say thank you to the crew of Once Upon a Time There Was a Love Story for giving me this precious opportunity, and thank you to the audience for your support.
The trophy is a great motivation for me to continue studying and making efforts in the next roles," Ngoc Xuan confided.
At the ceremony, Ngoc Xuan took a photo with People's Artist Xuan Bac - Director of the Department of Performing Arts (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism).
When asked about her impression of HIEUTHUHAI - a young face also honored at the program, Ngoc Xuan said she has followed the male rapper for a long time.
The actor shared: "I knew HIEUTHUHAI before Anh trai say hi, since you first joined King of Rap. From the first time I saw you rap, I had a feeling you would be successful and have many outstanding activities. To me, HIEUTHUHAI is a good person, serious at work".
Previously, at the 2024 Hanoi International Film Festival, Ngoc Xuan was the only representative of Vietnam to win the award for Promising Young Actor.
"Once upon a time there was a love story" revolves around the story of friendship and love between two boys and a girl from childhood to adulthood. Facing the challenges of fate, the trio Phuc (Do Nhat Hoang), Vinh (Avin Lu), Mien (Ngoc Xuan) fell in love together, awkwardly entered life, stumbled and overcame.
During the casting round of the project, Ngoc Xuan was loved by the audience through the casting video posted on the TikTok platform. She caught the eye of the producer and passed the next audition rounds thanks to her acting ability.
Ngoc Xuan, Avin Lu, and Do Nhat Hoang passed many rounds of selection to convince director Trinh Dinh Le Minh and the production team.
Becoming the next "muse" in the film adapted from the work of writer Nguyen Nhat Anh, Ngoc Xuan is praised for her pure and gentle beauty. In her first leading role in a film, Ngoc Xuan takes on a role with psychological weight, many nuances, including 18+ scenes.
To play the role of Mien well in "Once Upon a Time There Was a Love Story", Ngoc Xuan diligently practiced acting. She studied the novel by writer Nguyen Nhat Anh for many months to transform into Mien.
Ngoc Xuan was born in 1999 in Tien Giang. Before acting in movies, Ngoc Xuan appeared in the movie "Mother's Dream" (2022) and the MV "Shine Star" by singer Lam Truong.
She studied communications, studied abroad in Australia, and worked as a waitress to make ends meet. The young actress said that her diverse life experiences help her cultivate emotions, which she uses as material to build her inner self for her roles.
