In literature, AI cannot replace real emotions
President of the Vietnam Writers' Association - Poet Nguyen Quang Thieu emphasized the seminar "50 years of Vietnamese Literature since 1975: The perspective of young writers" towards young writers to find "barriers" to bring Vietnamese Literature to the next level.
One of the issues mentioned in the presentations given by young writers and young writers is how AI - artificial intelligence in the new era affects literature and literature.
In the speech "Bringing Vietnam to a worthy position in the world literary forum" by Cao Viet Quynh, the author emphasized the development of AI.
According to Cao Viet Quynh, AI is now able to edit images and create real-life videos that are difficult to recognize with the naked eye. That makes us think a lot about how far the technology has gone. For young people, the concern is even greater: Will we still be able to live on real abilities in the future, or will AI replace us?
But the author believes that there are things that AI cannot do because it has no soul, no intuition and no emotions. A literary work that wants to reach readers must have a "woman", life, and experience. AI only synthesizes data, creating smooth products but lacks uniqueness, lacks the "differentiation" that only humans have.
Young writers always remind themselves to be honest with their emotions. There are many things in life that are very normal, sometimes "nothing", but when we reflect, when putting ourselves in the position of a character, we will open up our own emotions and stories. That is something that AI cannot replace.
In his speech Are we really free in our own works?, writer Tran Van Thien also emphasized: In the current new era trend, real writers still face competition from AI.
Some people will start using AI to write prose and poetry, and many AI works will pass the review stage, which is also the criteria for choosing works that are easy to read, easy to understand, and easy to access.
In addition, there are also some AI software that check the errors of works that were originally written by humans. As a result, some authors are accused of using AI to write, especially new authors who are not yet well-known.
Therefore, in the context of such a mixed fake, writing a quality work, avoiding old loopholes is even more important. And the writer's ethics must be further maintained".
The perspective of young writers

Writer Nguyen Hoang Dieu Thuy commented that literature after 1975 has many impressions. Experimentally, many genres were discovered, historical, historical, magical, syndical, fantasy, detective, thriller, horror, and Graphic novel. This shows rapid change and adaptation to world trends.
The fruits of this achievement can be seen in publishing activities, as well as the appearance of overseas authors and authors of Vietnamese origin. In the past 15 years, many young authors have appeared with strong ambition and writing power. The massive documents, hundreds of thousands to millions of words, show that the desire for creativity has never been low. Although culture is overwhelming, the need to tell stories is still persistent, especially in the creative genres: poetry, self-elling, world novels, fantasy stories, horror literature with indigenous cultural colors. Children's literature has also exploded thanks to new demand from society and investment from publishers.
However, challenges remain: limited output, limited awards, reduced reading habits and dominated commercial publishing activities. To make literature fly further, it is necessary to have an advertising strategy, a publishing support fund, expand the playground for young authors and adaptation projects, helping works reach a wider domestic and international audience.
