On August 21, a delegation of the Quang Tri Provincial Border Work Steering Committee led by Mr. Hoang Nam - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Border Work Steering Committee visited, encouraged and presented gifts to students in difficult circumstances in border communes.
On the occasion of preparing to enter the 2026 - 2027 school year, the Steering Committee for Border Affairs of Quang Tri province presented 200 gifts, each worth 1 million VND, to 200 students in difficult circumstances who strive to improve their studies.
The students who received gifts belonged to 8 communes including Kim Phu, Kim Dien, Dong Le, Tuyen Lam, Dan Hoa, Minh Hoa, Tuyen Son and Tan Thanh.
In which, the working delegation directly presented 50 gifts to students in Kim Dien and Kim Phu communes. The remaining 150 gifts were distributed to localities to be presented to students.
At the program, Mr. Hoang Nam acknowledged and praised the spirit of overcoming difficulties, studying and training efforts of the students.
According to the Standing Vice Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee, the provincial Party Committee and government always pay attention to caring for and supporting students in difficult circumstances, especially in remote, isolated and border areas.
Mr. Hoang Nam wished that students would continue to promote the spirit of studiousness, overcome difficulties, cultivate knowledge, ethics and life skills, and strive to achieve good results in the new school year.
The Standing Vice Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee also requested local Party committees, authorities and organizations and unions to continue to pay attention to the work of caring for, protecting, and educating children; promptly support students in difficult circumstances, ensuring that they can go to school and study fully.
The gift-giving activity aims to encourage students in border areas before the new school year, contributing to sharing difficulties with families and creating more conditions for them to continue going to school.
