On the morning of May 21, Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan - Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province worked with Hanoi University of Science and Technology on the investment policy for building the school's branch in Bac Ninh.
Attending the meeting were Associate Professor, Dr. Huynh Quyet Thang, Director of Hanoi University of Science and Technology; leaders of relevant departments and branches; Tien Du district.
Speaking at the meeting, Associate Professor, Dr. Huynh Quyet Thang, Director of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, said that in order to meet the demand for high-quality resources for the engineering industry, Hanoi University of Science and Technology has a policy of investing in a branch in Bac Ninh, with an area of about 12 - 20 hectares.
In particular, the focus is on implementing the construction of the Adaptive Human Resources Training Center, with the goal of training university and college students majoring in high-tech engineering such as: IT, digital transformation, AI..., thereby, meeting the needs of businesses in the province and neighboring provinces.
The Director of Hanoi University of Science and Technology hopes that the leaders of Bac Ninh province, departments and branches will pay attention to coordinating, supporting and creating conditions for the school's branch construction project in Bac Ninh province to be implemented soon.
Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province Vuong Quoc Tuan affirmed that after the establishment of the new Bac Ninh province, there will be a lot of room for development, the current Bac Ninh area is still the starting point for socio-economic development, connecting with the capital Hanoi.
Bac Ninh always wishes to attract businesses, universities, training institutions in the fields of high technology, electronics, etc. to invest in the province. The provincial leaders pledged to always accompany, support, and create the most favorable conditions for projects to be implemented as quickly, effectively, and in accordance with regulations.
Agreeing with the investment policy of building a branch in Bac Ninh of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan assigned departments, branches and localities to closely coordinate with investors to implement related processes and procedures as quickly as possible.
The project to reorganize Bac Ninh province and Bac Giang province to establish Bac Ninh province clearly states the plan to organize universities and colleges (under central agencies) located in the province.
Accordingly, based on the plan, the new Bac Ninh province will continue to develop University Zones 1 and 2 to form a national and international center for training, scientific research and technology application, with a total area of 1,115 hectares.
Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee also assigned, by the latest on May 26, the Department of Finance must complete the draft report of the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee to submit to the Standing Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and complete the draft Resolution of the Provincial People's Council on specific mechanisms and policies to support attracting prestigious universities and colleges to Bac Ninh.
