
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet - Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association - shared: "We are living in an era of strong digital transformation and technology plays a central role in all areas of life.
In that context, improving digital capacity for young people is not only an inevitable trend but also a decisive factor in the development of each individual and each country. We can see that digital transformation has many challenges. This is also an opportunity to help young people go faster, make breakthroughs and create a new value, contributing to the overall development of the country".

According to Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet, the 2025 World Office Championship - Viettel is one of the specific activities to realize the goal of improving digital capacity for Vietnamese youth.
"The contest not only creates an environment for young people to study, practice, improve technology skills and digital knowledge, equip themselves with the process of establishing a career, but also arouses the desire to contribute, build a brave young generation, confident in integrating internationally" - Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet emphasized.

Ms. Doan Nguyen Van Khanh - Executive Director of IIG Education Vietnam, Representative of the Organizing Committee of the contest - said: "After more than 1.5 decades of implementation, from the World Office Championship - Viettel, we have recorded a positive change in the scale and quality of candidates, especially those in high school.
This is the result of the innovative orientation of high schools, even in remote areas, in boldly introducing MOS International IT to enhanced lessons, or integrating it into the activities of the school's IT club".
Regarding the 2025 competition, Ms. Khanh shared that the highlight of this year's competition is the artificial intelligence (AI) included in the competition. This helps to evaluate candidates' multi-dimensional understanding of new digital technology trends and skills in applying AI to processing requests in word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
"This innovation aims to keep up with the trend of digital transformation globally, while helping candidates have the opportunity to demonstrate their ability to apply new technology to solve requirements in studying, life and future careers" - Ms. Khanh assessed.
Also here, right after the opening ceremony, nearly 2,000 excellent candidates selected from 230 teams of high schools, intermediate schools, colleges, and universities nationwide officially entered the National qualifying round of the World Office Championship - Viettel 2025.

The World IT Championship (MOS World Championship) is an international playground for students aged 13 - 22 on a global scale to seek and honor the world's most outstanding talents in IT skills in using office IT applications. The contest has been organized annually by Certiport Group (USA) since 2002.
