Schools flexibly prepare
This year, Tran Quoc Toan Primary School (Can Tho City) will organize teaching for 1,422 students from grades 1 - 5. To best meet the upcoming new school year, the school has reviewed facilities and arranged classrooms for each grade.
With 40 classrooms (not including functional rooms), Ms. Huynh Thi Xuan Lan - Principal of Tran Quoc Toan School - said that the school has applied teaching 2 sessions/day since previous years, so there were no difficulties in preparation. Basic facilities are sufficient to meet the needs of teaching and learning 2 sessions/day. After arranging the class, the school will conduct a general cleaning, arrange and add tables and chairs to the missing rooms (if any).

Similarly, these days, at Thoi Lai Town Secondary School (Can Tho City), preparation for teaching conditions for 2 sessions/day is also being urgently implemented.
Mr. Tran Quang Nhut - Principal of Thoi Lai Town Secondary School - informed that regarding facilities, the school is currently unable to meet the teaching needs of 2 sessions/day for all students from grades 6 - 9. Accordingly, the school has built 12 more functional rooms and is expected to be completed in 2026.
This new school year, the school plans to conduct 2 teaching sessions/day for grades 8 and 9. As for blocks 6 and 7, students will be able to study 2 sessions/day when completing 12 functional rooms, said Mr. Nhut.
Parents can rest assured
Having a child preparing for grade 6, Mr. Nguyen Van Ut (O Mon ward, Can Tho city) expressed his peace of mind when his child was studying 2 sessions/day. In particular, not collecting tuition fees also helps families have a lighter economic burden, effectively meeting their children's learning needs.
"Since primary school, our daughter has been studying 2 sessions/day, so we are not worried about her adaptation when secondary school also applies this. Moreover, he will have more time to study, practice skills, and at the same time, reduce the burden of having to study alone, Mr. Ut shared.

Ms. Bui Thi Thu (Ninh Kieu Ward, Can Tho City) expressed her satisfaction that her child has been studying 2 sessions/day since primary school. According to Ms. Thu, studying 2 sessions/day not only helps parents feel secure in their work but also brings many other benefits to students.
"This year, my nephew will be in 6th grade. Right from the time their child was in grade 5, the couple decided to find a school with a model of teaching 2 sessions/day for their child to attend, because we all work during office hours, and the house is far from work. If I only study one session, no one will pick me up and take care of me for the remaining session, said Ms. Thu.
The Office of the City People's Committee has just issued Official Letter No. 1154/VPUB-KGVX, to implement the Official Letter of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) on guiding the organization of teaching and learning in 2 sessions/day for general education in the 2025-2026 school year in the city.
The Chairman of the City People's Committee assigned the Department of Education and Training to preside over and coordinate with departments, branches, People's Committees at the commune level and related units to organize 2 sessions/day of teaching for high school students in the 2025 - 2026 school year in the city, ensuring compliance with the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training; at the same time, advising the City People's Committee to direct the implementation of the contents under its authority.
