According to the leader of the Department of Education and Training of Gia Lai province, through the report, Ms. B. admitted that she was angry and lacked restraint when seeing many students doing basic exercises incorrectly, leading to inappropriate teaching behavior.
Since the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year, the Department has issued a document requesting schools to commit to implementing office culture, ensuring school safety, and strictly prohibiting acts of insult and school violence.
"Through this incident, the Department will direct the review and rectification of management and dissemination of the entire sector to avoid similar violations," said the leader of the Department of Education and Training.
Previously, many parents of students reported that Ms. B. - a contract teacher of Chemistry at Anh Hung Nup High School - often used a stick to hit students' hands hard when they did the wrong test or were not teaching.
Accordingly, on the morning of November 3, in the Chemistry class of class 10A, Ms. B. called some students to the group to do the test. When students answered incorrectly or incorrectly, she used a gauge to hit their hands many times.
"Even if our children do not study well, they need to be disciplined with words and appropriate measures, not taught by violence. Such an education is anti-educational," said a parent indignantly.
After the incident, some students also felt worried and pressured every time they came to Ms. B's class.
According to the leader of Anh Hung Nup High School, Ms. P.T.H.B has just graduated from a pedagogical university and has been signed a contract by the school to teach Chemistry since the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year. After receiving feedback from parents, the school held a meeting to consider and decided to terminate the contract with this teacher.
The school will coordinate with the authorities if there is a petition from the parents. At the same time, another teacher was arranged to teach Chemistry to grade 10 to ensure that students' studies were not interrupted.
