Tomorrow morning (6.), nearly 103,000 candidates in Hanoi will be present at the exam locations to complete procedures to take the public 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year.
The entrance exam for grade 10 in Hanoi is held on June 7 - 8 (for non-professional exams) and June 9 (for specialized exams).
To serve the organization of the exam, the city has arranged 4,411 exam rooms, 201 reserve exam rooms; 201 exam locations in 30 districts, towns and cities; mobilized more than 15,000 officers, teachers, employees, and police forces to participate in organizing the exam and more than 2,000 officers and teachers to participate in the exam marking work.
Up to now, the exam locations in the area have been inspected and reviewed for exam rooms, power lines, fire prevention and fighting systems, trees, fans... to ensure facilities, security, safety and convenience for students.
Medical work is considered important, at each exam location there are school health workers and local health workers on duty to promptly support students and staff taking exams when necessary.
According to the Hanoi Department of Education and Training (DET), this is an exam with many new points, requiring higher discipline and fraud prevention for candidates and the exam organizing team.
At the conference guiding the work of exam consideration organized by the Hanoi Department of Education and Training on May 3, Mr. Tran The Cuong, Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, emphasized the increasingly sophisticated risk of exam fraud in the context of strong development of artificial intelligence (AI).
"With current AI technology, candidates only need to enter the test to have a solution in seconds" - Mr. Cuong said.
According to the leader of the Hanoi education sector, exam scams are "msuggling", from secretly using phones in the exam room to taking advantage of loopholes when going to the toilet to access the internet.
To cope with this situation, Mr. Tran The Cuong requested the head of the exam points to thoroughly disseminate the fact that candidates are not allowed to bring phones into the exam room; the exam points must prepare areas for personal belongings and belongings of candidates away from the exam room according to regulations...
Mr. Cuong also cited a regrettable case when the candidate accidentally forgot his phone, leading to a recording and the exam results being canceled.
"C candidates bringing phones into the exam room, whether intentionally or accidentally, will be handled equally" - Mr. Cuong said.
Regarding the work of ensuring security and safety in the 10th grade admission period, the representative of Hanoi Police also shared with the exam preparation officers about how to identify high-tech equipment that can be used for fraud in the exam.
Suppose the candidate is detected using a mobile phone, the City Police noted that in this situation, the test score leader needs to make a record and immediately inform the police force to promptly investigate, isolate, and urgently prevent the dissemination of information about the test outside.
According to the leader of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, it is mandatory for the exam preparing forces to grasp the exam regulations. Officials and teachers participating in organizing exams should take the exam seriously but do not put pressure on candidates; absolutely do not be subjective, when situations occur, they must be handled in accordance with regulations.
In cases where the authority is exceeded, the exam preparation staff must absolutely not handle the exam without arbitrary supervision, but must report to the exam score leader for comments. In case the test score leader finds it difficult, he must call the test Steering Committee to ask for opinions.
"Each year's exam is different, the candidates are different, so there will be different situations. Therefore, from the supervisor to the candidate, they must study the regulations seriously to master the regulations - Mr. Tran The Cuong noted.
