On August 1, the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) held a conference to announce the network of excellent and talented training centers in technology, with the participation of more than 100 representatives of educational institutions and businesses that are members of the network.
According to the Ministry of Education and Training, the Northern region has 7 higher education institutions leading and guiding 7 networks in fields such as artificial intelligence, semiconductor industry, biotechnology, transportation technology, advanced materials; the Central and Southern regions have 6 higher education institutions supporting 6 networks.

Speaking at the Conference, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Van Phuc affirmed that the announcement of a network of excellent and talented training centers on 4.0 technology is a concrete step to implement the above major policies and guidelines into higher education practice.

"Instead of developing each school individually, we are switching to a network approach of cooperation and sharing. We believe that with these networks of excellent centers, high-quality human resources of high technology will have a breakthrough" - the Deputy Minister said and said that experience from countries around the world shows that only when schools, businesses and the state cooperate closely can they build an open innovation ecosystem where every idea and initiative has the opportunity to be nurtured and applied.

" 4.0 excellence centers will be the core of that ecosystem, a convergence of the "three houses" with the common goal of bringing science and technology to serve the country's development" - the Deputy Minister emphasized.
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Hung - Principal of the University of Transport said that over the past decade, the school has coordinated with leading technical schools to build a cooperation model between 7 major technical universities (G7), similar to the training center network model.
This is an important experimental step towards the goal of sharing resources, improving training quality and research capacity to meet the increasingly high requirements of society.
The President of the University of Transport believes that in an increasingly flat world, no single unit can effectively solve the current challenges.
"Therefore, sharing resources, sincere cooperation and substantial work are prerequisites for higher education and science and technology to truly become a breakthrough to take Vietnam off, achieving the goal of becoming a developed developed developed developed developed industrial country by 2040; according to the requirements of the Party, the Government and the entire nation.
This is also the spirit that Decision No. 374/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister sets for the higher education system" - Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Hung emphasized.
In February 2025, the Prime Minister approved the project to develop a system of excellent and talented training centers in technology 4.0 by 2030.
According to the Project, the Ministry of Education and Training has established a network of 13 excellent and talented training centers in technology 4.0. Of which, the Northern region has 7 networks, the rest are in the Central and South.
The goal of the project is to form at least 1 or 2 networks of excellent and talented training centers in each priority technology field of Industry 4.0.
In the field of artificial intelligence, semiconductor industry and biotechnology alone, at least 2 or 3 networks of excellent training centers and talents in the three regions of the North - Central - South will be formed.
Each network of excellent and talented training centers is led by a university with a strong role and has at least 5 higher education institutions, along with a number of domestic and foreign enterprises participating.
Each network organizes at least 1 excellent program on adaptation training, retraining, advanced training, and specialized training for human resource development in some priority technology areas of Industry 4.0.
