5 admission methods include: Direct admission, unlimited quota; Consideration of international certificate scores or excellent student awards combined with the transcript scores of all three years of high school of three subjects according to the combination; Admission based on graduation exam results; Admission based on the capacity assessment test scores of Hanoi National University combined with transcripts; Consideration of thinking assessment test results of Hanoi University of Science and Technology combined with transcripts.
Ho Chi Minh City University of Education
According to Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, the removal of the high school transcript admission requirement is aimed at meeting the needs of students studying under the new program from the general perspective of ensuring fairness, transparency, creating favorable conditions for candidates and ensuring improved input quality, meeting the requirements of the modern labor market.
The specialized competency assessment exam will become the main admission method. This method includes using 2 subjects for admission to each major, in which 1 main subject is multiplied by a coefficient of 2 and 1 secondary subject is not multiplied by a coefficient. In addition, the school considers admission based on the high school graduation exam.
Hanoi University of Science and Technology
For many years, Hanoi University of Science and Technology has not considered admission based on academic records. In 2025, the school will maintain 3 stable admission methods: considering talent, considering the results of the thinking assessment exam, and considering the results of the high school graduation exam.
National Economics University
In 2025, the National Economics University plans to maintain 3 admission methods stable compared to 2024, including: Direct admission (2%); combined admission (83%) and admission based on high school graduation exam results in 2025 (15%, down 3% compared to 2024).
Since 2024, this university has eliminated the admission method based on academic records to reduce the false rate, because a candidate can use many methods.
Similarly, Hanoi Medical University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Law... do not consider admission based on high school transcripts.
