On February 4, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh chaired a working session with relevant departments and agencies on the situation of deploying 2-session/day teaching and building national standard schools.
Leaders of the Department of Education and Training of Lam Dong province said that the organization of 2-session/day teaching is implemented according to Directive No. 17 of the Prime Minister.

At the same time, implementing Resolution No. 03 dated December 5, 2025 of the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee and Resolution No. 63 of the Provincial People's Council on socio-economic development tasks in 2026, in order to maintain and improve the rate of national standard schools above 70%.
Through reviewing facilities, equipment and funding needs at public educational institutions, the Department of Education and Training summarized the total funding needs for organizing 2-session/day teaching in the 2025–2026 school year as 3.821 billion VND.
In which, public educational institutions under communes, wards, and special zones need more than 3,309 billion VND; public educational institutions directly under the Department of Education and Training need 511.8 billion VND.
For building national standard schools in 2026, the total cost demand is 1,794.4 billion VND, including 1,519.6 billion VND for public educational institutions in communes, wards, and special zones and 274.7 billion VND for public educational institutions directly under the Department.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh requested to closely combine investment in facilities with ensuring a teaching staff; invest with focus and key points, not spread out; and at the same time innovate teaching methods, ensuring absolute safety and school hygiene.

In the immediate future, the province prioritizes focusing resources in 2026 on the primary school sector.
In February 2026, the Department of Education and Training will preside over and coordinate with the People's Committees of communes, wards, and special zones to carefully review the conditions of each facility to immediately deploy 2-session/day teaching and learning; and at the same time develop a roadmap for implementation in the coming time, strengthening investment socialization.
Regarding building schools that meet national standards, leaders of the Provincial People's Committee noted not to chase after achievements, but to be associated with the quality of real education, safe learning conditions and a team of qualified teachers.
In 2026, the whole province is expected to have 41 schools meeting national standards, including 36 primary schools and 5 secondary schools.
The implementation process needs to promote the application of information technology, connecting data from the education sector, building digital libraries and smart classrooms.
The Department of Finance is assigned to proactively coordinate and specifically guide the synthesis of funds; promptly advise on arranging capital and regular funds to effectively implement the task of teaching 2 sessions/day and building national standard schools; and at the same time pay attention to policies to support students, especially in remote and isolated areas.
