On February 4th, Da Nang City People's Committee announced that the Flower and Lighting Decoration project to serve Binh Ngo Tet 2026 is being implemented based on Plan No. 90/KH-UBND, to select design options with high artistic quality, creativity, modernity, while ensuring feasibility, technical safety and urban aesthetics.
According to the plan, flower decoration and artistic lighting are organized synchronously throughout the administrative boundaries of the city after the merger, including areas belonging to the old Quang Nam province.
The city requires decoration items to ensure thrift, efficiency, environmental friendliness, and at the same time increase the element of experience, attracting people and tourists, thereby promoting the image of dynamic, creative and livable Da Nang.
In terms of scale, the City People's Committee has approved investment in 14 Tet flower decoration locations in the central areas of Da Nang city (old), and at the same time maintained, repaired and newly decorated the lighting system on some main roads and axes. In the old Quang Nam area, the city also approved the policy of investing in Tet decoration at the central locations of Tam Ky City and Hoi An City (old); the remaining communes and wards are assigned to proactively implement in accordance with actual conditions.
The highlight of this year's Tet decoration is the image of the mascot Horse - a symbol of strength, aspiration and breakthrough - used as a xuyên suốt theme, connecting urban spaces.
The two main mascots include "Kim Ma Hop Nhat", symbolizing the current Da Nang with the spirit of solidarity and convergence; and "Kim Ma 4.0", bearing the image of a modern machine horse, representing the vision of future development, innovation and digital transformation.
The project started at the end of January 2026, completed before February 13, 2026 and served people and tourists from February 14 to February 26, 2026 (from December 27 to January 10 of the lunar calendar), contributing to creating a joyful and brilliant Tet atmosphere throughout the city.
