On May 28, Hanoi National University of Education organized the Final Round of the 2026 Science and Technology Award for Students.
Speaking at the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kieu Van Hoan - Vice Rector of Hanoi National University of Education emphasized that scientific research activities play a role as a "strategic lever" in training high-quality human resources, towards forming a team of teachers and scientists with global thinking.
In the context of the entire education sector accelerating digital transformation and widely implementing the 2018 General Education Program, student scientific research activities continue to be identified as an important driving force in training high-quality human resources, a team of teachers and future scientists.

Mr. Hoan said that at Hanoi National University of Education, scientific research has long become the school's central academic activity.
This is not only an environment for students to apply professional knowledge to practice but also contributes to training independent thinking, creative capacity and professional bravery in the new context" - Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kieu Van Hoan expressed.
The school's scientific research activities have been promoted and achieved many outstanding results. In 2025, Hanoi National University of Education won 2 first prizes, 3 second prizes, 7 third prizes and 4 consolation prizes at the S&T Award for students of higher education institutions organized by the Ministry of Education and Training; won 1 second prize and 2 consolation prizes at the Eureka Award organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union.

In 2026, the school's scientific research activities continued to develop strongly in both scale and quality. Out of a total of more than 17,000 students, more than 1,000 topics were registered to participate. To date, 819 topics have been completed with the participation of 2,243 students and 405 instructors.

Through the preliminary round at the school level, 123 typical topics were selected, including 52 topics of Educational Science, 39 topics of Social Sciences and Humanities, 32 topics of Natural Sciences and Technology. After the evaluation process, 40 best topics were selected for the final round.
According to the assessment of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kieu Van Hoan, this year's projects focus on many research directions associated with digital transformation practice and the 2018 general education program such as: Application of AI and digital transformation in education; development of interactive digital learning materials; support for inclusive education; innovation of teaching methods towards STEAM; application of IoT in agriculture and environmental protection; research on nanomaterials, semiconductors and anti-cancer cell materials.
The Final Round of the S&T Award is an opportunity for research groups to present intellectual scientific products, new discoveries of high professional quality, with profound scientific value and practical significance.
In parallel with the topic protection activity, the school also organizes poster exhibitions and scientific, technological and innovation products of students to introduce typical research ideas, solutions and achievements of students.
