In the draft, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City builds two specific policies to support tuition fees.
Policy 1: Special policy to support tuition fees for preschool children, public and non-public high school students and high school continuing education students in Ho Chi Minh City from the 2025-2026 school year.
The support level is the tuition fee applicable to preschool children and high school students studying at public general education institutions that have not yet covered their regular expenses according to Resolution No. 12/2024 of the City People's Council on tuition fees for public preschool and general education from the 2024-2025 school year and subsequent school years in Ho Chi Minh City.
Accordingly, group 1: Students studying at schools in Thu Duc City and districts 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, Binh Thanh, Phu Nhuan, Go Vap, Tan Binh, Tan Phu, Binh Tan.
Group 2: Students studying at schools in Binh Chanh, Hoc Mon, Cu Chi, Nha Be and Can Gio districts.
Applicable time: From school year 2025-2026.
The estimated budget for implementing the policy for the 2025-2026 school year is 653 billion VND (public 423 billion VND, non-public 230 billion VND).
Policy 2: Tuition support for public and non-public high school students and continuing education high school students in Ho Chi Minh City from the 2025-2026 school year.
The support level is the tuition fee applied to high school students studying at public general education institutions that have not yet covered their regular expenses according to Resolution No. 12/2024 of the City People's Council on tuition fees for public preschool and general education from the 2024-2025 school year and subsequent school years in Ho Chi Minh City.
Group 1: Students studying at schools in Thu Duc City and districts 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, Binh Thanh, Phu Nhuan, Go Vap, Tan Binh, Tan Phu, Binh Tan.
