On July 6, 2026, the University of Fire Prevention and Fighting officially changed its name to the Academy of Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue.
Like other Police schools, the school enrolls students through three methods, including direct admission; considering combining international foreign language certificates with the Ministry of Public Security's assessment exam; and considering combining high school graduation exam scores with this exam.
The Ministry of Public Security's assessment exam took place on June 21, for 180 minutes. Candidates choose one of the four codes CA1-CA4, with compulsory parts including essays in Literature and multiple-choice tests in Mathematics, History, English; and one optional subject: Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Geography.
Last year, the benchmark score of the school ranged from 19.75-24.23 points. Females in the North led with 24.23 points, followed by females in the South with 23.62. Males in the North took 21.1 points, and males in the South were the lowest with 19.75 points.
