The above information was shared by Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Hoa, Head of the Department of Testing and Training Quality Assurance, University of Transport on August 7.
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Hoa said that the prediction is based on the high school graduation exam scores, the number of candidates applying for admission to the school and the admission data of previous years.

For groups with the highest entrance exam scores in previous years such as Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Automotive Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electromechanical Engineering, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Hoa predicts that the exam scores will not fluctuate much, if there are, the reduction will be very small. The remaining industry groups will have fluctuations in benchmark scores, with a decrease of 0.5 - 1 point.
"It is expected that the benchmark scores for these majors will be stable at 25.5 to nearly 27. For most of the remaining majors, the benchmark score may decrease by about 0.5-1 compared to last year, at 22-24 - Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Hoa analyzed.
Although predicting a decrease in the admission score, the Head of the Department of Testing and Training Quality Assurance, University of Transport said that it is likely that the lowest admission score will still be 20 for the majors of Traffic Construction Engineering and Waterway Construction Engineering (the group of majors with the lowest entrance score in the school last year).
In 2025, the University of Transport will enroll 6,320 students for the standard program and high-quality program. Of which, standard training programs in the field of high-speed railway and urban railway have 240 targets.
These are also completely new training programs, including majors: High-speed railway exploitation and management, High-speed railway vehicle engineering, High-speed railway power system, Modern railway signal control and information, Traffic construction techniques - high-speed railway industry...
This year is also the first year that the University of Transport has trained in Computer Engineering in the direction of specializing in semiconductor microchips.
The 4 admission methods applied by the school include: Considering high school graduation exam scores and students winning national and international prizes; Considering the thinking assessment test scores of Hanoi University of Science and Technology; Considering the results of the Hanoi National University's competency assessment test; Considering high school transcripts.
Last year, the benchmark score of the University of Transport was from 20 to 26.45 points, the highest in the field of Logistics and Supply Chain Management at Hanoi with 26.45 points, an increase of 0.33 points compared to the previous year. Other majors at Hanoi headquarters all have admission scores of 20.5 or higher. For the Ho Chi Minh City branch, the benchmark score is around 20-25.86.
This year, the school will convert the benchmark scores between methods to the same scale of 30, according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training. The expected time to announce the school's benchmark scores is August 21, 2025.
