The school's 4 admission methods include:
Admission based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam and direct admission to students who won national and international prizes;
Considering high school transcripts;
Admission according to the capacity assessment results of Hanoi National University in 2025 for a number of admission and training majors in Hanoi and admission according to the capacity assessment results of Ho Chi Minh City National University in 2025 for admission and training majors at Ho Chi Minh City Branch;
Admission according to the thinking assessment results for the 2024-2025 school year of Hanoi University of Science and Technology for a number of admission and training majors in Hanoi.
The method of considering high school transcripts is applied to most admission majors. Use the total score of three subjects in the admission combination (3 years of high school) and priority points (if any) for admission. In which the average score of each subject of the three subjects in the admission combination (average for all 3 years) has no average score of any subject below 5.5 points.
For admission majors (except for English Language majors), when calculating the total admission score, the Math score is multiplied by 2, then reduced to a scale of 30 according to the formula:
Total admission score on a 30-level scale = Total admission score on a 40 x 3/4 scale.
For the English Language major, when calculating the total admission score, the English subject score is multiplied by 2, then reduced to a scale of 30 according to the above formula.
As for the admission method of competency assessment and thinking assessment test scores, the school announced that it will implement equivalent conversion according to the conversion instructions of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Hanoi National University and Ho Chi Minh City National University.
This means that, the equivalent capacity assessment and thinking assessment scores of the conversion exam organizer will be used by the University of Transport.
In 2025, the University of Transport will enroll 6,320 students for the standard program and high-quality program. Of which, standard training programs in the field of high-speed railway and urban railway have 240 targets.
