Vice Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee Huynh Minh Tuan has just signed and issued a Plan to implement the Project for the period 2026 - 2030 in Dong Thap province. This is a specific activity to concretize Decision No. 1373/QD-TTg dated July 30, 2021 of the Prime Minister approving the Project "Building a learning society, period 2021 - 2030" in Dong Thap province.
According to the plan, Dong Thap province strives to complete 4 groups of targets by 2030: universal education, literacy; basic capacity and level of people; operational efficiency of educational institutions and vocational education institutions; building learning models in society.
By 2030, 100% of units will maintain and maintain the results of universal preschool education for 5-year-old children; the province will achieve universal preschool education standards for children aged 3 to 5 years old; 100% of communes and wards will achieve primary education universalization standards at level 3; the province will achieve primary education universalization standards at level 3; 70% of the population aged 15 and over will be trained in technical expertise; of which, 15% will have university degrees or higher; 82.5% of workers will be trained; of which, trained workers with diplomas and certificates will reach 43.5%; 60% of citizens will achieve the title of learning citizen; 70% of communes and wards will be recognized as learning communes and wards according to criteria issued by competent authorities...
According to the plan, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Education and Training to preside over and coordinate with provincial departments, branches, relevant agencies and People's Committees of communes and wards to implement the plan; develop regulations on coordination between levels, branches, organizations, and businesses in the process of building a learning society.
