A series of violations were pointed out in the food incident reported as bad at schools in Hanoi
After reporting that food with signs of spoilage was put into the boarding kitchen of Cu Khe Primary School (Binh Minh Commune, Hanoi), the Hanoi Food Safety and Hygiene Department inspected and discovered many serious violations such as: the processing area with flies, the cooking area arranged with the washing area that is prone to cross-contamination of raw and cooked food, the rotting drainage system, not performing 3-step food inspection, and the food division table was not enough.

Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha directed Binh Minh Commune People's Committee to coordinate with relevant units to quickly inspect, clarify, strictly handle violations (if any) and report the results before October 18. The school temporarily suspended the organization of boarding meals to coordinate with the unit providing meals to handle the existing problems, while replacing the food supply and kitchen appliances to ensure food safety and hygiene. The school also strengthens internal supervision and organizes training on food safety knowledge for kitchen staff.
The incident has many parents confused and worried about the quality of their children's meals, while encouraging authorities to strengthen food management and control in schools. See more...

Safety risks when students study... amidst dust, electric wires and the sound of cutting machines
Tra Con C Primary School, Vinh Long Province, has been delayed in construction progress for many months, causing students to study in a construction site with dirt, electrical wires and construction materials lying around, posing many potential dangers. Parents are worried about the noisy and unsafe learning environment when construction workers do not ensure labor safety, even though the school has arranged teachers to supervise and remind students to avoid dangerous areas.

The project has a total investment of more than 14 billion VND, initially expected to be completed in June 2025, but due to problems with capital disbursement and handover of the segment, it has not been completed yet. The Tra On Construction Project Management Board has directed the contractor to mobilize maximum human resources, work overtime, and try to complete the project in December 2025, committing to both ensuring progress and absolute safety for students and teachers during the construction process.
When completed, the school will have spacious and safe facilities with full classrooms, corridors, playgrounds and standard protective fences, meeting the wishes of parents, teachers and local authorities, helping students study in a safer and more favorable environment. See more...
