On the weekend morning, the bustling situation of people lining up to wait for transactions somewhat "cooled down", many people came and left, but many people still tried to stay, determined to wait for the latest announcement from the store.
Ms. Vu Hoa (My Dinh, Hanoi) sadly took her motorbike home: "The shop doesn't sell, let's go. I arrived at 7:30 a.m., lining up to get the 84 phieu, about half an hour ago the store announced that it was out of stock this morning, trying to wait longer but it seemed difficult, so I went home".
Many people still hope to successfully "hunt for gold", Nguyen Minh Trang (Cau Giay, Hanoi) went directly into the store and turned back, continuing to wait: "Everyone told each other to wait, the above people announced that the store would be selling. A few days ago, there were days of selling, some days of not selling, and some days I only sold at 5pm. Gold prices are high, people buy a lot, today I am still waiting to announce the number of sales before deciding to buy 1 or 2 taels".
Meanwhile, many people travel long distances with the desire to "hold gold in hand" determined to wait for the time when the gold shop will trade.
Ms. Le Thi Lan (Phuc Tho commune, Hanoi) agreed to travel nearly 30km to the gold shop to trade - said: "Yesterday afternoon, the shop issued 200 numbers but it was my turn. I have also tried asking private gold shops in the countryside, but the difference is up to 1.3 million VND. Today, my mother went to ask the familiar store for 180 million VND/tael, so I had to come here."
Traveling from Dan Phuong commune to Cau Giay, Hanoi, Ms. Hai has prepared food and is ready to wait until 5pm today.
"I have prepared food and provisions to bring, otherwise there would have been a sticky rice restaurant and a water shop to serve customers, so I don't worry. Traveling far, quitting today to buy gold, having to wait until I can buy it and go home" - Ms. Hai said.
Trading skills "surround" gold shops
In addition to those who need to buy gold to store, there are many "brokers" around the gold shop who are on duty every day to offer for sale. As soon as the reporter arrived at the gold shop, a man approached and asked about the demand for gold.
This person is selling at a difference of more than 1 million VND/tael compared to the listed prices on the websites of gold shops. "Whether you buy a lot or not, I have more than 1 tael. The stores have not been selling for many days, so it is difficult to buy even if they wait. You buy a lot at 17 million VND/tael, at that time you buy it at 14.5 million VND/tael, borrow from the bank to buy. Gold is standard, not a bad product, if you like it, go to the store to check it" - this person tried to convince the reporter to take profits.
Many familiar gold traders are waiting at parking lots, as long as customers have a need, they will be met immediately. "There is a difference of about 1 million VND compared to the store," said a buyer.
