Contract teachers in Khanh Hoa are concerned about bonus payment according to Decree 73
Many teachers and contract employees at public schools in Khanh Hoa are worried because it is not clear whether they will be entitled to bonuses according to Decree 73 or not. Although they signed contracts with unspecified terms, ranked salaries according to State regulations and annually completed their tasks well, they have not yet received unified instructions on bonus payment.
According to the bonus regulations issued by Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee at the end of December 2025, contract workers under Decree 111 who complete tasks are eligible for consideration for bonuses. However, some schools said that they cannot pay bonuses because the State Treasury informed that this subject has not been applied for bonuses from funding sources according to Decree 73, leading to difficulties in implementation.
Faced with the above situation, teachers and contract employees hope that functional agencies will soon have specific and unified guidance to ensure legitimate rights. According to Mr. Vu Huu Y - Principal of Ha Nam Vocational College, more than 30 teachers and employees with labor contracts are not eligible for bonuses according to Decree 73. Therefore, the Executive Committee of the Trade Union has launched voluntary donations among staff and teachers to have funds to support bonuses for contract workers. The school affirms that it does not force officials and teachers to participate in donations and denies information about collecting overtime teaching fees.
