To rank teachers' salaries as the highest in the administrative career salary scale system
The Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) said that the current salaries of most teachers are still lower than those of civil servants in other sectors, contrary to the policy of "the highest teacher salary in the administrative career salary scale system". To overcome this, the Ministry of Education and Training has announced a draft Decree on salary and allowance policies for teachers, in which all teachers will receive a "special salary coefficient" to increase income and gradually narrow the gap compared to other sectors.
According to the draft, the specific salary coefficient does not immediately increase teachers' salaries to the highest level, but will help increase significantly compared to civil servants with the same salary scale. This policy is expected to be a great source of spiritual encouragement for the teaching staff, demonstrating the concern of the State and the whole society for the profession of "growing people". Many teachers such as Ms. Nguyen Thanh Huyen (Nghe An) expressed their joy, saying that increased income helps reduce economic pressure, arousing the spirit of innovation and creativity in teaching.

The Ministry of Education and Training and education experts say that improving salary policies is the key to attracting and retaining talented people and improving the quality of the teaching staff. Speaking to Lao Dong Newspaper reporter, Associate Professor, Dr. Do Van Dung - former Principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education - said that the Law on Teachers with the highest salary in the system and a 70% increase in minimum allowances will help solve the situation of teachers quitting their jobs due to low income. When income and benefits are improved, the teaching profession will become more attractive, attracting good students to choose the Pedagogy major and improving the quality of teacher training input.
