Ministry of Education and Training commits to narrowing the regional gap and taking care of the teaching staff
On the afternoon of March 2nd, in Thanh Oai commune (Hanoi), a meeting with voters and candidates for the 16th National Assembly was held in a direct combined online form. Here, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Minh Son - Acting Minister of Education and Training presented an action program, emphasizing that education is a strategic foundation for the sustainable development of the country.

He affirmed that if trusted to be elected as a National Assembly deputy, he will fully fulfill his legislative, supervisory and policy criticism responsibilities; maintain regular contact with voters, expand thematic dialogues with teachers, intellectuals, students and businesses. The focus of action is to improve the institution of education, science and technology development and high-quality human resources, linking autonomy with accountability.
In particular, he emphasized the development of human resources in key technology fields such as artificial intelligence, semiconductor, biotechnology, and new energy; and at the same time focused on narrowing the regional gap and taking care of the teaching staff. Voters highly appreciated the commitment of the candidates and proposed to pay more attention to infrastructure, education policies, social security and local economic development.
Hanoi requests private schools not to collect reservation fees and deposits for grade 10 classes
The Hanoi Department of Education and Training requires private high schools with high quality to not collect reservation fees or deposits for the 2026-2027 school year. At the same time, enrollment exceeding targets or enrollment when targets have not been assigned will be handled and may be considered for reduction or not assigning targets in the next school year.

The Department also emphasized that schools must be responsible before the law if enrollment is in violation of regulations. Facilities that do not ensure legal conditions on operating locations, fire safety, facilities, or have prolonged disputes and lawsuits, do not disclose information as prescribed,... may not be assigned enrollment quotas.
The determination of enrollment targets for private and semi-public schools must be based on the conditions of facilities, teaching staff, campus area, number of classrooms, teaching equipment according to the 2018 General Education Program, as well as requirements on safety, legality and financial disclosure. Cao Bang has just established a Steering Committee to implement the Project "Making English a second language in schools in the period 2025-2035, vision 2045", demonstrating the determination to improve the quality of foreign language education. The Steering Committee consists of 18 members headed by the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, with the participation of many departments and branches to ensure synchronous coordination.
The Steering Committee has the task of advising the People's Committee of Cao Bang province in organizing the implementation of the project in accordance with local conditions, mobilizing resources and removing difficulties. The Department of Education and Training of Cao Bang is the standing agency, responsible for advising and implementing according to the direction of the Government and the guidance of the Ministry of Education and Training.
