Parents invest millions of VND each month for their children to prepare for the 10th grade entrance exam
In Ho Chi Minh City, only about 70% of students completing the secondary school program each year have the opportunity to enter public 10th grade. High competition rates make many parents choose to send their children to extra classes and exam preparation early.
Surveys at some centers and extra classes show that the cost level is quite diverse, from 500,000 to 2 million VND/subject/month, depending on the number of study sessions/week.
With home tutoring, tuition fees range from 2-5 million VND/month, depending on the number of classes.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Phuong (Xuan Hoa ward) said that her child is in 9th grade and takes many extra subjects at the center.
Each month, Ms. Phuong's family spends about 1.5 million VND on Literature (2 sessions/week, class of about 10 students), 1.1 million VND for English (2 sessions/week), 1 million VND for Mathematics. In addition, her child also studies specialized History at a rate of 1.2 million VND/month (1 session/week, 3 hours each session).

More than 19,300 Ca Mau candidates register for the 202th high school graduation exam
In 2026, Ca Mau has more than 19,300 candidates registered to take the 2026 high school graduation exam, with more than 816 exam rooms.
Mr. Nguyen Van Nguyen - Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ca Mau province - said that to prepare for this important exam, the Department of Education and Training has advised the Provincial People's Committee to establish a Provincial Steering Committee; and at the same time develop a plan to organize the exam in accordance with the guidance of the Ministry of Education and Training.

More than 64% of Vietnamese teachers apply AI to teach, double the international average
At the Workshop to contribute opinions on the Draft National Report of the International Assessment Program on Teaching and Learning (TALIS) cycle 2024, the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) said that the rate of Vietnamese teachers applying AI in teaching reached 64.45%, double the international average.
Deputy Director of the Department of Quality Management Pham Quoc Khanh said that after the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) announced the TALIS 2024 results in October 2025, the Ministry of Education and Training urgently developed a national report to outline a comprehensive picture of the Vietnamese secondary school teaching staff, as a basis for a comprehensive policy to develop the teaching staff in the coming time.
Mr. Khanh affirmed that the data from this survey is a particularly important scientific basis for assessing the capacity of teachers to contribute to ensuring the feasibility and success of education innovation policies, especially after Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in education and training development and new education laws were passed.
