Nha Trang education sector requests re-matching of the Literature exam
A parent in Nha Trang City reported that the Literature exam for grade 6 at Lam Son Secondary School was unclear, causing misunderstanding and un subjective scoring. The topic requires students to write about a memorable experience, but the introduction creates a feeling of being forced to write about a trip, making students easily confused in how to implement it.
The child of this parent wrote the correct request to tell about a memorable experience but did not mention the trip, so he only got 0.5 points. Parents believe that such scoring is mechanical, unfair and can negatively affect students' psychology as well as parents' trust in fairness in education.
After receiving the feedback, the Department of Education and Training of Nha Trang City confirmed that the exam was unclear, lacking the link between the opening and the main request. The room has asked the school to learn from the experience in proposing and directing the test to the test in the spirit of the problem. See more ...

Regulations on allowances for teachers on maternity leave

The issue of allowances for teachers during maternity leave has received attention from many teachers. A teacher has sent a question to the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) about whether teachers are entitled to salary allowances during their maternity leave in accordance with regulations, especially preferential allowances for teachers who are directly teaching.
Responding to this question on the Government's Electronic Information Portal, the Ministry of Education and Training said: The maternity regime is currently regulated in the Law on Social Insurance (SI) 2014, belonging to compulsorySI Social Insurance, and has a separate section in the law to regulate the contents related to this regime.
However, the Social Insurance Law does not adjust the content of preferential allowances for employees, including teachers. Preferential allowances for teachers who are directly teaching at public educational institutions are stipulated in separate documents such as Decision No. 244/2005/QD-TTg and Circular No. 01/2006/TT-BGD&DT-BNV-BTC and both documents are still valid. Therefore, during maternity leave, teachers do not directly teach, so they are not eligible for preferential allowances according to current regulations. See more...
