New adjustments to the 2025 high school graduation exam
The 2025 high school graduation exam will have many adjustments in technique and organization, notably switching to printing exam questions on A3 instead of A4 as in previous years. This helps reduce the number of printed pages, limit the risk of page errors and make it more convenient to print headings, especially for multiple-choice subjects. The exam will be printed according to the correct number of candidates in each room, instead of printing all 24 exam codes as before.
In terms of organizing the exam, the break between the component subjects in the combined test will increase from 10 to 15 minutes. In addition, candidates for the second subject in the combination must also be present from the beginning of the exam and waiting at the waiting room, instead of 10 minutes before the exam as before. These changes are aimed at ensuring order and convenience in the organization of the exam.
In 2025, it was the first year to apply the new general education program 2018, so the Ministry of Education and Training will organize two separate exam questions for two groups of contestants: According to the 2006 and 2018 program. Increasing allowances, reducing retirement age helps preschool teachers feel secure in their profession
The draft Decree of the Ministry of Education and Training proposes to increase preferential allowances for preschool teachers to accurately reflect the nature of arduous work, long actual working hours and high pressure from parents. Accordingly, the allowance in favorable areas is expected to increase from 35% to 45%, while in disadvantaged areas it can be up to 80%.
The Ministry is also seeking opinions on the Draft Law on Teachers, which stipulates that teachers in preschool education institutions, if they wish, can retire at a lower age than the retirement age of employees under normal conditions but not more than 5 years old. In case of having paid social insurance for 15 years or more, the pension percentage due to early retirement will not be reduced.
