Consider choosing 10th grade wishes

To increase their chances of being admitted and studying at a suitable school, many students are "brainless" in choosing to apply for grade 10. 9th graders in Hanoi must choose their wish to enter 10th grade before the exam and cannot change afterwards. Choosing the right school is an important factor to increase the chance of admission. Many senior students such as Thu Quynh and Anh Quan are wondering between being able to pass the entrance exam and wanting to develop in a suitable learning environment.
Students often rely on the benchmark scores of previous years and survey results to arrange their wish list. If the school has a higher score than the ability, the risk of both wishes being missed is very high. Therefore, candidates need to carefully consider the chance of passing, geographical distance and training quality of the school.
This year's 10th grade entrance exam in Hanoi has changed the way of calculating scores when Math and Literature no longer double the coefficient, increasing the score gap between aspirations. "Students need to adjust to arrange appropriately, avoid placing wishes with too many equivalent scores, leading to all failures" - Ms. Doan Thi Thanh Huyen - Vice Principal of Lien Ha Secondary School (Dan Phuong, Hanoi) gave advice. School warns students about tricks to impersonate police
Nguyen Tat Thanh University warns students about scams impersonating police and prosecutors to appropriate property. A first-year student of the school received a call from a person impersonating a Hanoi City Police officer, asking to participate in a Zoom call to prove that he was not involved in a money laundering case. The subject also sent an arrest warrant and froze fake assets with full personal information of the student, causing panic.

Students shared the incident with friends and the school newspaper. After verification, the school confirmed that this was a form of fraud. The school recommends that students be vigilant, do not provide personal information, do not participate in video calls from strangers and immediately report to the school when encountering similar situations. Determining violations of extra teaching and learning in Kien An, Hai Phong
The People's Committee of Hai Phong City directs the handling of administrative violations related to extra teaching activities outside of permitted locations at Luong Khanh Thien Secondary School (Kien An District).
The inspection work showed that 41 teachers and 1,517 students registered to teach extra classes at Thien Van Center, but 941 students and 26 teachers studied at other locations that had not been licensed. This has caused negative public opinion and is considered a " generally good" of widespread tutoring.

The Department of Education and Training determined that the responsibility belonged to the Department of Education and Training of Kien An District, the Board of Directors of Luong Khanh Thien Secondary School, and the leaders of Thien Van Cooperative. The school's principals lack close supervision, while teachers and center directors do not report on teaching outside the registered location.
The Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee requested handling of administrative violations, and at the same time directed Kien An District People's Committee to guide units to complete legal procedures according to Circular 29/2024/TT-BGDDT. The District Department of Education and Training is responsible for supervising, inspecting, handling related violations and reporting the results to the City People's Committee. See more...
