750 Hai Phong union officials receive occupational safety training

On March 25, the Hai Phong City Labor Federation held a conference to assess the current state of labor safety in the area and provide training on labor safety and hygiene in 2025.

The conference was attended by 750 delegates who are full-time union officials throughout the city, grassroots union officials, occupational safety and hygiene networks, and officials in charge of occupational safety and hygiene work at units and enterprises.

At the conference, the reporter of the Ministry of Home Affairs informed delegates about the authority and obligations of trade unions and the network of occupational safety and hygiene workers in ensuring occupational safety and hygiene; some legal provisions on occupational safety work, measures to prevent occupational accidents and diseases.

Union officials also learned about regulations on working hours; instructed on negotiation skills on working hours and mid- shift breaks in labor regulations and collective labor agreements to ensure rest time and improve workers' health.

The content is conveyed through examples and real-life situations, making it easy for students to access and exchange. From there, the team of union officials and occupational safety and hygiene officials grasp the regulations to apply and apply them in practice at agencies, units, and enterprises, ensuring the legitimate rights and interests of workers.

Also through the training program, each union cadre propagates and disseminates content to workers in their unit, helping workers raise awareness and responsibility in ensuring occupational safety and hygiene, preventing risks of unsafety in work and production.
