According to Article 24 of the 2025 Law on Teachers, effective from January 1, 2026, teachers performing a number of specific tasks will be supported with mobile allowances.
Specifically, this allowance applies to teachers working in illiteracy eradication, popularizing education, secondment, enhancement teaching, inter-school teaching and teaching at schools. This is a working group that moves frequently, associated with difficult working conditions, and is scattered in many remote, isolated and extremely disadvantaged areas.
In addition, the Law also stipulates many other support policies for teachers, including:
Allowances according to the nature of work, by region;
Support training and professional development;
Supporting periodic health care and occupational health;
Support for train and bus fares when working in particularly difficult areas;
Support for renting official housing or rental if no collective housing has been arranged.
Teachers working in ethnic minority areas, mountainous areas, border areas, islands or teaching at specialized schools, teaching integration, teaching ethnic minority languages, enhancing Vietnamese or teaching gifted skills and arts will also enjoy some special support policies.
The law also encourages localities and educational institutions to proactively issue support policies in accordance with practical conditions and financial capacity, to ensure the lives and career development of teachers.
