According to the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, in recent times, the work of ensuring security, safety of schools, preventing and combating school violence, crimes and social evils has been implemented and achieved positive results.
However, the situation of school violence, social evils, and law violations among students is still complicated, with increasingly diverse forms, the age of violations tends to be younger, negatively affecting physical, mental, and educational environment, causing concern in society.
To overcome these limitations, the Department requires units to strictly implement measures to ensure security and order in schools according to the coordination regulations between the Department of Education and Training and the City Police; focus on organizing propaganda and dissemination of legal education on traffic order, safety, cultural behavior when participating in traffic, fire prevention, fire fighting and rescue; school violence prevention and control; drug prevention and control and social evils; propaganda to raise awareness of skills to prevent and avoid fraud crimes and property appropriation through social networks; education on ethics, lifestyle, behavioral skills, awareness of law compliance and school regulations.
Schools need to proactively inform via hotline, coordinate promptly with the police force, local authorities and parents in handling arising incidents.
Schools need to strictly manage the use of mobile phones and broadcasting equipment in schools; promote the role of school counseling groups; regularly organize activities to educate on life skills and risk response skills; regularly discuss with parents to agree on management and education measures for students; detect and support early cases with unusual signs of behavior and psychology.
In addition, schools need to comprehensively review and inspect facilities, especially perennial trees, power systems, ponds, railings, playgrounds, etc. to promptly overcome the risk of unsafety.
