On this occasion, General Secretary To Lam and the Central working delegation presented gifts to representatives of 30 households in Linh Son ward; representatives of the provincial police and military forces.
The Central working delegation also presented Thai Nguyen province with 5 billion VND to support overcoming the consequences of natural disasters.
According to the report of the leaders of Thai Nguyen province, due to the influence of the circulation of storm No. 11, the province experienced widespread heavy rain from the night of October 6. Heavy rain caused particularly large floods, exceeding historical floods; the water level of Cau River rose to above alert level 3.
Heavy rain and floods have caused flooding in 54 communes, wards and some localities, affecting about 200,000 households. Natural disasters killed 7 people and injured 3 others; total estimated property damage is over VND12,200 billion.
